Collision Injury Biomechanics

Biomechanical investigations are becoming very useful in providing insurers and lawyers with the knowledge they need to relate the severity of a collision to potential injuries.  In this presentation we will discuss evidence, pedestrian collisions, estimating occupant movement and accelerations in a collision, quantifying injury, quantifying the potential for head and neck injuries, use of collision injury databases for specific incident investigations, and finally show case studies to demonstrate all of these concepts.
